Why threading (and not waxing) for brows

Waxing and threading can both shape brows — but the technique is different in ways that matter on the delicate skin around your eyes.

• Threading removes one hair at a time. That means we can shape precisely without pulling off more than you want. The arch comes out cleaner.
• No heat, no chemicals. Threading uses only twisted cotton. If you've reacted to wax or have sensitive skin, threading is the safer pick.
• Less skin reactivity because the thread only touches the hair, not the skin surface. Most clients have little to no redness afterwards.
• Faster on small areas. A brow shape takes 5–10 minutes. You'll be in and out.

For larger areas — full face, full legs — waxing is usually faster and more comfortable. That's why we offer both, and we'll tell you which one suits the area when you book.

Brows vs full face: practical differences

If you're deciding between eyebrow threading and full face threading, here's what to expect.

• Eyebrows only takes about 10 minutes and is the right choice if your brows are already roughly the shape you want, just overgrown.
• Full face covers brows, upper lip, cheeks, sideburns, chin and forehead peach-fuzz. Takes around 30 minutes. Worth doing together if multiple areas are bothering you — it saves a second visit.
• Brows + upper lip is the most common pairing. Around 15 minutes total, both done in one go.

We can also do upper lip alone if that's the only area. Fast — under 5 minutes.

How often to book

Threading cadence is faster than waxing because it removes the hair from the follicle cleanly. Most clients fall into one of these rhythms:

• Every 2 weeks: if you want brows to look freshly shaped all the time. Common with full-time hotel guests or anyone who uses threading as their main shaping method.
• Every 3–4 weeks: the most common cadence. Brows stay tidy without becoming a constant appointment.
• Every 6 weeks: if you're happy with regrowth between visits. Fine, but expect a less defined arch at the end of the cycle.
