What the session actually looks like

Threading the upper lip is one of the simplest treatments we do. Knowing the sequence helps the few minutes pass smoothly.

1. Position: you'll be seated or reclined slightly with good light on the area. We work with whatever your room lighting gives us.
2. Stretch the skin: a light pull on the lip area so the thread catches individual hairs cleanly.
3. Thread: the cotton thread twists and removes hairs row by row. About 30–60 seconds of active work per pass.
4. Soothing finish: cool water or a gentle aftercare gel if the area is reactive. Most clients need nothing.

Why upper lip and not wax

Wax works on the upper lip too, but threading is usually the better pick for this specific area.

• The skin above the lip is thin. Threading removes only the hair, not the top layer of skin.
• No risk of pulling the delicate vermilion border out of shape with a wax strip.
• Less post-treatment redness, so it's easier to head straight out afterwards.

Waxing the upper lip is fine if that's what you prefer — just tell us when booking.

Pairing it with brows

The most common add-on to upper lip threading is eyebrow threading — both in one visit takes about 15 minutes and is the right rhythm for monthly maintenance. If you also want cheeks or chin done, full face threading is more efficient than booking separately.
